Unfortunately, research on the condition had yet to yield a treatment, and Luca John Baranowski died 90 minutes after birth. The Baranowskis founded the Luca John Foundation in order to aid research into the condition and to emotionally and financially support families experiencing the trauma of lost infants and miscarriage.[/su_column]
